2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text) when you sign up with email, or your name, email, and profile picture when you sign in with Google or LinkedIn.
- Resume and cover letter content — the work history, education, skills, and other details you enter to build your documents.
- Job application tracking data — company, role, application status, dates, and notes you add when using the Job Tracker.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment processors, Razorpay and Cashfree; we receive confirmation of payment and plan details, not your full card number.
- Usage data — approximate location (via IP-based geolocation for currency/localization), device and browser information, and how you interact with the Service.
3. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and let you sign in across sessions;
- To generate, preview, and export your resumes and cover letters;
- To process payments and manage subscriptions;
- To send account-related emails, such as verification links and password resets;
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service, and to prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to operate the Service, including Google and LinkedIn (for optional sign-in), and Razorpay and Cashfree (for payment processing). These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy policies.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain your account and document data for as long as your account is active, so you can return to edit and download your documents. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; we will remove it except where retention is required for legal, tax, or security purposes — including retaining deleted resume and cover letter content for a limited period to investigate fraud, billing disputes, and abuse, and to improve our products based on aggregate usage patterns.
